Foxcroft Academy
Nobel Academy acknowledges Foxcroft Academy as a distinguished private high school situated in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Chartered by the Maine legislature in 1823, the Academy’s establishment closely followed the incorporation of the town of Foxcroft. Originating in a modest wooden frame building, initially funded with a town allocation of $100, the Academy has undergone substantial growth. Presently, it occupies a 125-acre campus featuring comprehensive academic, athletic, and residential facilities.
Enrolling over 350 day students from the neighboring towns of Dover-Foxcroft, in addition to welcoming 100 international students, Foxcroft Academy stands accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. As a proud member of the Independent School Association of Northern New England, the College Board, and the National Association of Independent Schools, the Academy maintains a commitment to academic excellence and institutional integrity.
Harvard University
Reflecting on a transformative summer experience, a student from Nobel Academy undertook courses at Harvard: Digital Media and Mathematics. The Harvard Summer School provided an enriching environment, fostering collaboration with exceptional peers. Demonstrating outstanding academic performance, the student earned one “A” and one “A-“, a testament not only to their capabilities but also to their ability to excel amidst some of the brightest minds globally. This invaluable experience not only expanded the student’s knowledge but also significantly heightened their confidence, unveiling new facets of personal growth and discovery.

Specical Interests and Talents
At Nobel Academy, we celebrate and nurture students’ special interests, fostering a holistic educational experience that goes beyond the classroom. Our commitment to promoting extracurricular activities is exemplified by the diverse array of opportunities available, including a strong emphasis on sports and physical well-being.
Consider the remarkable journey of one of our students who embarked on their athletic endeavors from a young age. Starting swim training at the tender age of 6, this dedicated individual achieved outstanding milestones, including clinching the championship in the 12-year-old group swimming competition in Hong Kong. Notably, they garnered certificates of excellence from the prestigious Pacific Swimming Club in Hong Kong and reached the finals of the Crossing New World Victoria Harbor Race at the age of 13 in 2019.
Beyond the pool, the student embraced tennis, commencing training at the age of 7. Their passion for tennis led them to participate in the Tennis Training Summer Program at UC Irvine in 2015 and engage in a transformative Summer Tennis Training experience in Lysin, Switzerland, in 2017.
Nobel Academy recognizes the importance of fostering not only academic excellence but also the holistic development of each student. Our support for sports and other extracurricular activities aims to instill values such as discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Whether it’s achieving swimming championships or participating in international tennis programs, we empower students to pursue their passions and unlock their full potential.

At Nobel Academy, we believe that extracurricular activities are of immense value, as they inspire individuals to surpass their limits and encourage exceptional development. One such activity is the 21-day expedition with New Zealand’s prestigious Outward Bound “Mind Body Soul” program.
Outward Bound is known to be one of New Zealand’s most challenging experiences, requiring participants to demonstrate determination, courage, teamwork, and a commitment to community service. The School Director, Simon Graney, emphasizes the profound impact that completing such a course can have on an individual’s character and personal development.
During this 21-day adventure, students embark on an unconventional journey that goes beyond academics. They take up kayak challenges on the Pelorus River and various physical tests, which help them achieve significant personal growth. The breathtaking landscapes of New Zealand provide the perfect backdrop for self-discovery and renewal.
Students embark on a unique journey independently, gaining a refreshed spirit and a newfound sense of purpose. Their decision to participate in the Summer 2023 Mind, Body & Soul Outward Bound Course showcased both personal courage and a commitment to pursuing challenges that go beyond cultural and geographical boundaries.
In a group of over 100 high school students aged 16-18, our student stood out as the sole Asian participant, showcasing not only their individuality but also their willingness to embrace diversity. This journey has equipped them with the resilience and adaptability needed to embark on a new chapter in the U.S., symbolizing a profound commitment to personal growth, community service, and a life enriched by meaningful experiences.
Pandemic Outreach
In response to the unprecedented challenges presented by the pandemic, the Nobel Academy promptly established a Coronavirus Rescue Team, exemplifying our commitment to global solidarity and humanitarian efforts. Collaborating with distinguished Chinese scholars and students from Columbia University, our academy took decisive action beginning in March 2020.
As a crucial component of this initiative, our team played a pivotal role in the global Humanity Assistance program—an outreach endeavor focused on fundraising and providing vital support to those affected by Covid-19. Our collective efforts were directed toward sourcing essential medical supplies for hospitals in China and the United States, including face masks, protective covers, and goggles.
Specifically, our team took charge of fundraising, successfully procuring 8,000 face masks from China with the invaluable support of parents and the collective dedication of our community. The funds raised, totaling $100,000, played a pivotal role in acquiring and distributing tens of thousands of face masks and protective covers to hospitals in Boston and New York. This initiative addressed the immediate needs of healthcare facilities and showcased the Nobel Academy’s commitment to proactive community engagement during times of crisis.
In addition to aiding hospitals, we launched a dedicated rescue team to assist Harvard and Columbia professors, ensuring they had access to basic protective gear. Our teams’ combined efforts resulted in providing over twenty thousand units of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to those most in need.
Our leaders’ dedication and tireless efforts did not go unnoticed, earning recognition and praise in an interview by a local Boston TV station. Beyond the tangible impact of the supplies provided, this outreach initiative became a powerful manifestation of Nobel Academy’s ethos, emphasizing the importance of empathy, global citizenship, and collective responsibility within our academic community.
At Nobel Academy, we celebrate and encourage such extraordinary pursuits that go beyond traditional academic boundaries, shaping individuals into well-rounded, resilient, and culturally aware global citizens.
Legacy and Business
Family and Home Life
In the face of the multifaceted challenges presented in 2021, the Nobel Academy recognizes the resilience and adaptability demonstrated by our students. One notable example is the transformative journey of a student who navigated financial uncertainties and emotional turbulence during the disruptive influence of the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly throughout their crucial high school years in Boston.
Volunteer for the Financial Inclusion Project in China
In 2018, Richard Liu, a student, joined the KVB Rural Financial Technology Assistance team. He was inspired by his family legacy and had a commitment to societal development. The team’s primary task was to aid underdeveloped rural areas in China. They drew inspiration from the pioneering work of Muhammad Yunus’ Grameen Bank in Bangladesh. In collaboration with remote Chinese rural credit cooperatives, they established a mini-loan system similar to microloans or Grameen loans. The mini-loan system provided farmers with small loans without requiring collateral. This initiative facilitated the expansion of farming activities and boosted income. The impact of this initiative was so profound that it became the subject of a documentary aired by China’s mainstream media outlet, Phoenix TV. The documentary highlighted the successful collaboration and positive outcomes achieved in these rural communities.
Block Chain App Project
In July 2020, Richard started a business internship with a fintech company in Singapore based on recommendations from his family. The company aimed to revolutionize payment platforms by allowing users to transact with traditional fiat currencies or cryptocurrencies via credit or debit cards. Richard represented the 16-20 age demographic and played a crucial role as a simulated user, testing the app’s interface and features thoroughly. His insights, rooted in a youthful perspective, proved invaluable in guiding enhancements and refinements. Over two months, the company rolled out two major updates, with Richard actively involved in evaluating these updates and providing detailed feedback on the user experience.
Richard’s collaboration with professionals from Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan was facilitated entirely through digital means, with virtual meetings held on platforms like Zoom. The international team provided Richard with comprehensive training and clarifications, which helped him gain a deep understanding of the core objectives behind the platform’s creation and its design nuances. Looking back three years later, it’s clear that the foresight shown by the team was remarkably progressive. Today, prominent service providers like Wirex.com and Cryptocurrency.com have adopted similar concepts, underscoring the impact of this visionary internship on the ever-evolving landscape of financial technology.
